Maude, a volunteer in India with GlobAlong, shares her experience with us!

Hello,

My name is Maude. I went on a mission in India for a few weeks.

I had a lot of questions before leaving. I just called Sophie from GlobAlong and she helped me with everything. She even helped me when I encountered issues with my passport so the pre-departure service was very good.

I enjoyed working on my project very very very much, much more than expected. The project was perfect for me : teaching English to deaf students. I enjoyed it so much actually that I’d like to come back. The staff also was super nice and I met great friends there.

Accomodation and meals were good. I enjoyed staying within the family.

Throughout my time in India, I especially enjoyed meeting new friends. I didn’t expect to build such strong relationships. I will definitely miss them and come back one day. I also had a great time teaching deaf students. I even learned sign language for them. I got extremely attached to them, and they got very attached to me too. I would definitely recomment this programme and organisation to others.

The school staff was very helpful and nice. From the first day, they included me in everything and I met great colleagues and even great friends. My coordinator was very nice and gave me precious advice and information.

All in all, my stay was great !

Maude
